The Custom Design Process

Chat with our designers about your ideas and agree upon an initial sketch or plan for the custom designed piece

Your ideas are brought to life using our 3D CAD design software and we produce a 3D resin model for approval before production

The 3D wax model is reviewed and tweaked if necessary. Any changes can be easily made at this stage before production

Once the design is completed, our team of jewelers will bring your finalized design to life

How do I get started with having a custom piece made?

The first step in the design process is to meet with one of our designers. We do recommend calling ahead of time or contacting our designers directly to set up a consultation appointment.

This first step in the design process allows you to share your vision with our design team so we know exactly what we need to do to create the piece of your dreams. Bring any ideas or inspiration you may have as well as any materials you hope to use for the project (ie. gold, gemstones, etc.)

This is where all the fun starts!

How long does the entire custom process take?

The general timeframe for most custom design projects is between 4-6 weeks.

When you sit down with our designers they will be able to provide you with a very good idea on how long it should take and to work with you on any potential deadlines.

What should I expect the process to look like?

Each design is unique in its process, but every job does share many similar steps.

After the initial meeting with one of our designers, our team will move ahead with the CAD process and print a 3D wax model to go over. Viewing a 3D model provides a great idea how the finished product will look. During this stage we can make any changes or modifications that you wish and create a new model to discuss.

Once a final model is agreed upon you are happy with the design, our team will get to work producing the final product!

Is custom jewelry more expensive?

No--custom jewelry is often comparable to finding the exact item in our showcases!

The term ‘custom’ often deters people, but since we are able to produce everything in-house with our very own design team, our custom jewelry pricing is very competitive.

I have my own gemstones/jewelry/metal. Can I use them?

Absolutely!

Whether you’re looking to simply modify an existing piece or completely upcycle your own materials--we’re here to help. In most cases we can use your existing materials, but in order to be certain our design team does need to take a closer look and inspect the materials before we move ahead with the project.

If you have some older pieces you are simply looking to part with, we can also credit the sale of those items toward your custom design project.
